Fred Benton Crockett, 86, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Phil Campbell, Ala., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010 in Winter Garden, Fla.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010 at Akins Funeral Home with Bro. James Bray officiating. Interment will be in Blue Springs Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Nettie Motes Crockett; and brother, Dwight David Crockett.
H is survived by his wife, Barbara Motes Crockett; daughters, Connie Sue Crockett and Lynn Crockett; sons, Zane G. Crockett and Paul A. Crockett; brother, James Thomas Crockett; sisters, Allardyce Aldridge, Lydia Carpenter and Peggy Kelly; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family expresses a special thanks to jerry and Becky Reeves, James and Nina Lou Bray, and T.D. and Jolene Baker for their loving support.
William “Billy” Richard Brackin, Sr.

William “Billy” Richard Brackin, Sr., 69, of Russellville passed away Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010 at Russellville Hospital.
He was a retired truck driver for Spruell Farms.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010 at Mt. Zion #2 Baptist Church in Town Creek, Ala. with Bro. Larry Crumpton officiating. Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Brackin, of Russellville; sons, William Richard Brackin, Jr. and wife, Margit, of Athens, Ala., and Robert Earl Brackin, of Russellville; grandchildren, Dale Hughes, Vanessa Hughes, LeAnn Brackin; great-grandchildren, Kristy Pruett, Elizabeth Hughes, Harley Hughes and Devyn Hughes.
He is preceded in death by parents, Richard and Anise Brackin.
Pallbearers were Burl Mears, Henry Mears, Stacy Douglass, Chris Douglass, Paul Johnson, Bradley Sanders and Elvis Overton.
John Allen Irvine

John Allen Irvine, 79, of Hodges, Ala. passed away Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Michigan, but had lived most of his life in Franklin County. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Hackleburg, member of the National Guard and retired from Kelsey-Hayes.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Hackleburg with Steve Lawrence officiating. Burial followed in Cedar Tree Cemetery.
He is survived by his sister, Patricia A. Thorpe and husband, Wiley, of Spruce Pine, Ala; brothers, Gerald, Richard, Harold Danny Irvine; niece Deborah A. Mowery; nephew, Todd A. Thorpe.
He was preceded in death by parents, Harold Roy and Kaythern Irvine; sister, Nancy Gazo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
Jewel Juanita Cook

Jewel Juanita Cook, 78, of Russellville, Ala. passed away Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010 at her residence.
She lived most of her life in Franklin County and was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Russellville. She was a foster grandparent for 12 years and out of six counties she was awarded foster grandparent of the year in 2006. She was retired from Russellville Sportswear as a seamstress.
She was a loving and caring mother with a great love for her Lord and Jesus Christ.
Funeral service will be Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at 11a.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Arnold Sheets officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Memory Gardens.
She is survived by her daughters, Janice Jackson and husband, Donnie, Margaret Green and husband, Terry; son, Carl W. Cook and wife, Edna, all of Russellville; sisters, Barbara Burrow, of Russellville, Lavon Ellen James, of Tuscumbia; brother, Kenneth Cummings, of Russellville; sister-in-law, Sarah King, of Russellville; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Stuart Mills, Namath Jackson, Austin Green, Matt Green, Eric Borden, Jeremy James and Tommy Wood.
She was preceded in death by husband, William J. Cook; parents, William Walker and Ida Cummings; siblings, J. C. Donald and Margie Cummings.
