Making Valentine’s memories

Wikipedia gives us a great definition of St Valentine's Day(shortened to Valentine's Day) which is "An annual holiday held on Feb. 14 celebrating love and affection between intimate companions.
The holiday is named after one or more early Christian martyrs named Valentine and was established by Pope Gelasiur in 496 AD.
It is traditionally a day when lovers express their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionary, and sending cards.
Modern Valentine's Day symbols include the heart-shaped outline, doves, and cupids.
Since the 19th century, hand written valentines have largely given way to mass-produced greeting cards".
Get out your red tablecloths, red candles, and chocolate because tomorrow is Valentine's Day. Meal planning for this day can help you celebrate. Choose recipes that are colorful, especially red, and always plan to have chocolate treats to share. Decorating your table is easy on this day.
Put some boxes of children valentine cards, bought from one of your local dollar stores, and use them to spread out over your table.
Use lace dollies scattered about on the table and include some red napkins.
I'm sure we all have some wonderful memories of Valentine's Day, when younger, and during our adult years, that will never be forgotten.
From the first box of candy, to the flowers and cards given to me by my husband and sons, to the last Valentine's party in my last year of teaching, all will be at the top of my list for happy times.
Everyone had a chance to share a little love at school on Valentine's Day and it was such a happy occasion.
The foods the Mothers shared during our parties were always a treat and also a labor of love.
Hope you enjoy a nice weekend celebrating a day for young or old. Here's hoping you pull up some memories of days gone by when you felt a special kind of love form family and friends.
This gives me a chance to wish you a Happy Valentine's Day and a big thanks for reading our page.
