Ricky Simmons, 52, of Golden, Miss. died Sunday, May 16, 2010 at his residence. he was born April 10, 1958 in Booneville, Miss. to James and Shirley Morris Simmons. He was a long time resident of Paden, Miss. and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 19 at Palestine Church in Paden with Bro. Danny Young officiating. Burial was in the Palestine Cemetery.
He is survived by wife, Karen Simmons of Golden; daughers, Mandi Hamlett and huband, Shane, of Belmont, Miss, and Kimberly Simmons of Tishomingo, Miss; grandchildren, Haley Hamett and Jaden Hamett; brothers, Kennith Simmons, and wife, Irene, Robert Simmons and wife Mary, and Marshall Simmons, all of Golden, Gerald Simmons and Dale Ray Simmons, both of Tishomingo, and Bobby Ray Simmons and wife, Becky, of Red Bay; sisters, Cindy Skinner, and husband, Jeff, of Fulton, Miss., Beverly  Hicks, and husband, Tommy, of Tremont, Miss., Marribell Brum and husband, Barry, of El Paso, Tex.; and Tori White and husband, Jerald, of Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jackie Simmons; and mother-in-law Yvonne Wilson.

Pallbearers for the service included Marshall Simmons, Brad Parrish, Jeff Skinner, Dale Ray Simmons, Robert Simmons, and William Simmons.
