Warrants issued after meth lab found at home

Warrants for the arrest of two local teens have been issued after authorities found evidence of meth labs inside a Russellville residence on Sockwell Avenue Monday, investigators said.

Russellville Police Sgt. Joe Hargett said the department is trying to locate Holly Hulsey, 18, 1730 N. Sockwell Ave. Russellville, and Eric Wade Childers, 19, whose last known residence was at 314 Southeast Montgomery St.

Authorities said both Hulsey and Childers are wanted for second-degree unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance.

“We had received information that led us to believe someone had been dealing with meth at that particular residence,” Hargett said.

“There was evidence inside where several one-point, shake-and-bake cooks had been attempted.”

A group effort including the Russellville Police Department, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and investigators with the Franklin County District Attorney’s Office collaborated to make the search of the residence.

There was no one in the house when the search was executed, authorities said.

Hazmat was called in to clean up and collect the evidence, officials said.

Russellville police ask that anyone who knows anything about Hulsey and Childers or knows of their whereabouts to please call 256-332-2230 or Shoals Area CrimeStoppers at 256-386-8685.
