Dewey Oran Colburn, 75, of Russellville, Ala., died Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at his residence.

Funeral services were held July 15, 2010 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Dewayne Crumley and Bro. Thomas Thornton officiating.  Interment was in Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Russellville.

He was proceeded in death by his daughter, Janet Colburn; mother, Bessie Colburn; father, Gordon Colburn; sister, Bullah Bendall; great-grandchild, Eric Phillips.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Doris Colburn; daughters, Sandra Parker, of Phil Campbell, Lesa Ewing and husband, Mike, of Russellville; sons, Randy Colburn and wife, Sam, of Sheffield, and Scott Colburn and wife, Renee, of Russellville; brother, M.A. Porter and wife, Cheryl, of Pelham, Ga.; sisters, Inez Rubley, of Sheffield, and Joyce Flannagan and husband, Don, of Russellville; grandchildren, Pam Zills, Kari Zills, Lindsey Gardner, Derryl Gardner, Colby Colburn, Morgan Young, Crysthan Young, Zakery Colburn, Ben Colburn, Rebecca Barringer, and Michelle Fielder and husband, B.J.; great-grandchildren, Brianna Chaney, Rachel Hilding, Ashlee Chaney, and Ava Fielder; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Courtney Morris, Greg Hester, Dwain Hester, Jimmy Rose, and Randy Brackin.

A special thanks to the Davita Dialysis Center in Russellville, and staff, and Dr. Kelly’s office and staff, the MidSouth staff, and the Southern Hospice staff.
