Earl Jackson Mathhues, 73, of Russellville passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Terrace Manor Nursing Home.

Mr. Mathhues was a member of the West Highland Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Billy Thorn officiating.  Interment was in Franklin Memory Gardens.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Holman Mathhues; parents, Virgie and James U. Mathhues; son, Anthony Mathhues; sisters, Elizabeth Butler, Mary Williams; brothers, Leon Mathhues, James Mathhues; and step-grandson, Dylan Ragan.

He is survived by his sons, Curtis Mathhues and wife, Carol, of Russellville, Travis Mathhues and wife, Peggy, of Russellville; daughter, Teresia Johnston and husband, Kenny, of Killen; special nephew, James Butler, of Russellville; grandchildren, Tyler Mathhues, Christy Mathhues, Dawn Dean, Nicole Johnston, Catrina Mathhues; step-granddaughter, Kelly Ragan; great-grandchildren, Laken Dean, Cadence Dean, Angel Butler, Caden Mathhues; step-great-grandson, Chase Ragan; and several nieces and nephews.

The pallbearers were James Butler, Chris Black, J.J. Jones, James Orrick, Larry Pierce, and Dale Nix.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Keith Morrow and his staff; and to Phillip Wade and all the employees of Terrace Manor Nursing Home for the love and care shown to our family.
