Arvie Gerdine Blevins Dill, 91, passed from this life on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010.  She was surrounded by her family at her son’s residence.

She was born to James and Cathern Mink Blevins in Itawamba County, Miss.  She attended school at Banner Community School, Miss.  She was married in Fulton, Miss., to Larry L. Dill.

She was a member of Belgreen Church of Christ over 50 years.  She loved God and her church family.  Due to declining health, she moved to Florence and attended College View Church of Christ, and services at Merrill Gardens and Hilltop Assisted Living.  She was a homemaker, garment factory worker, former cook at Frosty Inn, and a devoted Christian and loving mother.

Funeral services were held Tuesday,, Sept. 14, 2010 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Jackie Richardson officiating.  Burial was in Mountain Home Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Liles Dill; parents, James Arthur and Cathern Mink Blevins;  siblings, Joe Blevins, Dora Collum, Lou Cason, Lona Collum, Ed Blevins (brother who died in World War II); other siblings who died as children;  nieces and nephews; and a grandson, James Liles Fields.

She is survived by her children, Jackie Fields and husband, Travis, Larry Edward Dill and wife, Dianne, Marie Richardson and husband, Morris, Alice Kay Wright and husband, James; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were grandsons.

Thank you mother for all the hard work and sacrifices you and Daddy made so we could have a better life than you.  You left this world for a better place.  We will miss you forever.

The family would like to thank Dr. Macon Landers, Dr. Robert Mann, the staff at Internal Medicine Clinic, ECM Hospital with a special thanks to ER and 5W, Merrill Gardens, Hilltop Assisted Living, JW Sommer Rehab, Glenwood Rehab; Hospice of the Shoals, and caregivers, June Cole and Juanita Holland.
