Tigers will continue magic run

There is no doubt Alabama has dominated at home in recent years. The Crimson Tide has compiled a 20-0 record in Bryant-Denny Stadium since the start of the 2008 season and have allowed opponents to score a meager 39 points in six home games this season.

None of those opponents had Cam Newton.

Newton is, without a doubt, the best player in college football — even with eligibility questions swirling.

He is the only player in Southeastern Conference history to rush for more than 1,000 yards and pass for more than 2,000 yards in a single season.

Newton is the catalyst for Auburn’s magic season, and as long as he plays Friday the Tigers will keep their national title hopes alive.

Auburn has thrived as the underdog this season.

Some thought the Tigers would slip up against Clemson and South Carolina. Many thought the undefeated season would end against Arkansas and LSU.

Auburn successfully won those games. Bama is favored in this game.

The Tigers have found a way to rally for wins — Auburn trailed by at least 14 points in three of their games — and will find a way to take care of their business this week.

Bama has been dominant at home, but Auburn has won five of six games since the series moved to Tuscaloosa in 2002. The Tigers will add a sixth win to that total Friday.
