Police arrest man who escaped after DUI arrest

The Russellville Police Department has apprehended the man who escaped from custody shortly after being arrested on DUI charges Tuesday.
Lt. Scotty Lowery said officers apprehended Calin Todd Bulls, 23, and arrested him for third-degree escape, third-degree theft of property and DUI.
According to Lowery, patrol officers took Bulls into custody on DUI charges on Tuesday at 4 a.m. and while officers were conducting a vehicle inventory, Bulls managed to get the back window partially rolled down and escaped on foot heading west down Underwood Road.
At 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, Lowery said Bulls had been spotted at the Fuel Co. on U.S. 43 North still handcuffed but with the handcuffs now in front of him.
Lowery said after an extensive search and a foot chase, Bulls was finally taken into custody in Littleville near Bullington Lumber at 2:20 p.m.
The Russellville Police Department’s canine unit assisted with the search.
