Ralph C. Bolton, 82, died Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Baptist Hospital, Memphis, Tenn.

A native of Tishomingo County, Miss., he was a three-year letterman at Mississippi State University where he played football. He was a supporter of the Mississippi State football program and a member of the M Club.  He served in the U.S. Army. He was the retired senior vice president and director of Motion Industries.

He was a member of Inverness Country Club, Shiloh Golf Club and Bay Point Country Club. He was a past member of The Club, the Downtown Club, University Club and Greystone Country Club.

Services were Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Wright officiating. Burial was in Red Bay City Cemetery.

Survivors are two children, Alan Bolton, Memphis, Tenn., and Lisa Bolton Burke and husband, Gordon, Southaven, Miss.; three grandchildren, Jennifer Burke, Julie Burke and Jeff McMahan and wife, Jennifer; one great-grandson, Conner McMahan; two brothers, Dr. Travis Bolton and wife, Betty, Covington, Tenn., and Roy Bolton and wife, Irene, Red Bay; special friend, Bonita Snyder, Birmingham; brother-in-law, Grady Jordan, Red Bay, and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy J. Bolton.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice or the American Heart Association.
