John Robert Horton

John Robert Horton, 81, of Spruce Pine, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012, at Russellville Hospital.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 19, 2012, 2 p.m. at Mountain Home Presbyterian Church with Andy Cansler officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Horton, Spruce Pine; daughter, Paula Britnell, Mt. Hope; daughter-in-law, Donna Horton, Spruce Pine; five grandchildren; five great-grand-children.

Pallbearers will be Joel Horton, Leamon Sumeral, Troy King, Michael Horton, W.T. Sumeral, Jeff Emerson, Phillip Humphries and Adam Daniel.

He was preceded in death by son, Billy Wade Horton.
