Virdie Mae Holland, 86, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at her residence.

She was a native of Alabama and a homemaker. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Vina.

Services were Friday, May 18, 2012, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Vina, with Bro. W.D. Humphres and Bro. Matthew Haney officiating. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery.

Survivors are three children, Ken Holland and wife, Marilyn, of Fairhope, Eddie Holland and wife, Carolyn, Golden, Miss., and Dianne Williams and husband, Ed, Vina; one brother, Paul Singleton, Vina; four grandchildren, Daphne Sawyer and husband, Stephen, Cynthia Lentz and husband, Scotty, Ben Williams and wife, Amber, and Carissa Williams; six great-grandchildren; caregiver, Sunny Holland, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, F.V. Holland, her parents, Enos and Merdie Humphres Singleton, a granddaughter, Tiffany Holland, a great-grandson, Austin Holland and two brothers, Alfred Singleton and Cecil Singleton.

Pallbearers were Ben Williams, Scotty Lentz, Russell Manasco, Ronnie Holland, Leon Sparks, Steven Singleton and Barry Pounders.
