Still angels among us

Monday afternoon while waiting in line at the checkout of Big Star, an elderly gentleman was walking between the checkouts attempting to get into the store.

I noticed him as I was in line across from him, but what I did not see was that he was going down face-first to the concrete floor when, all of a sudden, one of the employees grabbed him from behind in an attempt to brace his fall.

He could have been hurt seriously, excepting for the fact that this “angel among us” stopped his fall.

The employees immediately took action, getting him a wheelchair, offering him water and assistance in any way that might help.

In this day and age when it seems that folks are generally taken for granted, I realized there are still “angels among us.”

Thanks Mark, and all the employees at Big Star who helped in any way.
