Willard Harold Blankinship, 74, Russellville, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012, at his residence.

He was a native of Lawrence County and a self-employed farmer. He worked at Northwest Alabama Stockyard and attended Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral services were Monday, June 18, 2012, at Lawrence Funeral Home in Moulton with Bro Chris Joiner officiating. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery in Moulton.

Pallbearers were Casey Vinson, Justin Helms, Dave Fischer, Steve Potter, Wesley Ellis and Bobby Horton.  Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Walker, Rod Steadman, Rodney Ackers, Jack Masterson, Joe Pounders and Jerry Boulden.

He is survived by his wife, L.G. Smith, of Russellville; son, Reggie Blankinship and wife, Rita, of Mt. Hope; daughters, Debbie Moss and husband, Art, of Moulton, and Janice Aaron and husband, Tim, of Russellville; step son, Tommy Smith and wife, Wanza, of Russellville; brothers, Hillard Blankenship and wife, Martha, of Moulton, Leon Blankenship and wife, Jackie, of Danville, Dan Blankenship and wife, Brenda, of Russellville; sisters, Faye Carey and husband, Raymon, of Haleyville, Jean Potter, of Phil Campbell, Bea Potter and husband, Edison, of Russellville; grandsons, Wesley Ellis and wife, Tiffany, and Casey Vinson; granddaughters, Brandi Helms and husband, Justin, Courtney Boren and husband, Mason, and Alaina Vinson; step grandsons, Dave Fischer and Justin Smith; step granddaughter, Tara Kennedy and husband, Zack; and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aussie and Susie Jarrett Blankenship; sister, Lorene Colburn, and step daughter, Judy Fischer.
