Virginia Dian Johnson, age 60, Tuscumbia, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012 at ECM Hospital.

The visitation will be Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home in Russellville. The 2 p.m. funeral mass will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, July 8, 2012 with Father Edward officiating. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by parents, Howard & Virginia May Sweeney; brother, Timothy Sweeney.

She leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Jerry Hudon Johnson; children, Patricia Johnson Mitchell, Jerry Johnson II, Theresa Orrick and husband, Conway; siblings, Dennis Sweeney, Michael Sweeney and wife, Sandy, Patrick Sweeney and wife, Dianne, John Sweeney and wife, Phyllis, Peggy Sweeney, Barbara Hostetler and husband, Randy; grandchildren, Joseph Johnson, Courtney Mitchell, Anthony Mitchell, Nathaniel Mitchell, Julia Mitchell, Heather Orrick, Stephanie Orrick, Dustin Orrick, Nathan Orrick, Jade Johnson, Jerry Johnson III; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Special thanks for all the caring staff at ECM Hospital and Father Edward.
