Alfred Wayne Plott, 69, of Villa Rica, Ga., died Monday, July 9, 2012, at Russellville Hospital.

He was born in Russellville on Oct. 26, 1942, the son of the late Lonnie Cunningham Plott, Sr. and the late Pearlie Mae Gann Plott. He retired with 32 years of service from the Kellogg’s Company where he was general plant manager for the eggo/waffles division. He had lived in Villa Rica, Ga., for the past 55 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by all of his brothers and sisters, Melvin Plott, Orbie Plott, Lonnie C. Plott, Jr., Betty Plott, Lucille Maro, Flossie Oliver, Cleo Plott, Helen Pauline Bradford and twins, Marvin and Garland Plott.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sharon Plott, of Villa Rica; his children, Mike Plott of Fairburn, Ga., Kimberly Metcalfe of Fairburn, Ga., Lee Warren of Navarre, Fla., and Stacey Hendrix of Villa Rica, Ga.; six grandchildren, Jeffrey Plott of Villa Rica, Ga., Jana Plott Soto of Villa Rica, Ga., Whitney Plott, Matthew Post and Meagan Plott, all of Fairburn, Ga., and Lila Wilder of Villa Rica, Ga.; one great grandchild, Alex Soto of Villa Rica, Ga.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at 1 p.m. from the chapel of the J. Hoyt Thomas Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Lee and the Rev. Ray Butler officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Plott, Matthew Post, Lee Warren, Dennis Harris, Dwight Harris and Larry Plott. Interment will follow in Melrose Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Paulding County, Ga.
