Raymond Edward Hester, 65, Phil Campbell, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, in Jackson, Tenn.
The 11 a.m. funeral service will be held Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, in the funeral chapel at Akins Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Wood officiating. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hester, Kevin Hester, Stevie Hester, Hathaway Bennett, Brandon Hester and Ricky Hall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Opal Brooks Hester; brother, Charles Hester; and brother-in-law, V.W. Latham.
He leaves to cherish his memory; wife, Millie Allen; step-children, Robert VanDiver and wife, Susan, Plainfield, Ill., Ann Marie Dowdy and husband, David Fields, Jackson, Tenn.; siblings, Sarah Jenkins and husband, Jerry, Hatton, Betty Latham, Midlothian, Ill., Deborah Bennett and husband, Hathaway, Tishomingo, Miss., Jimmy Hester, Red Bay, Phillip Hester, Red Bay; sister-in-law, Shirley Hester, Red Bay; a host of nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
