William “Bill” Davis

William “Bill” Davis, 86, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Sanctuary Hospice.

He was born Aug. 13, 1926, in Itawamba County, Miss. He was a farmer for more than 60 years and a member of Shady Valley Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the US Navy.

Services were Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Brady Ramey, Bro. Edwin Pharr and Bro. Jimmy Lucas officiating. Burial was in Shady Valley Church of Christ Cemetery, Tremont, Miss.

Survivors are his brother, Buster Davis, of Kenosha, Wis., and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Clasteen Davis; a son, William Davis; his parents, Dow and Edna Davis; two brothers, Bob and Lawrence Davis; and four sisters, Mildred, Melrose, Jenny and Madgie.

Pallbearers were Chuck Humphries, Don Humphries, Darrell Humphries, Harry Vernon, Mark Vernon, Randy Rogers and Shelby Blanton.
