Ceremony set prior to city parade

The annual “Every Light a Prayer for Peace” will be sponsored by the Cultura Garden Club on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 4:30 p.m. on the steps of the Franklin County Courthouse.
This event will be prior to the Christmas parade which begins at 6 p.m. Groups involved in participating in this special event are: the RHS Choir and RMS Choir.
The RHS JROTC will post the colors and Kody Madden will sing the Star Spangled Banner. Richard Parker, First Baptist Church Minister of Education, will provide the message and prayer.
Maggie Coan, Franklin County’s Distinguished Young Woman, will present the “Light a Candle” poem.
The combined choruses will sing “Angels Among Us.”
Everyone is invited to attend.
