William Harold Halcomb, 70, of Phil Campbell, passed away March 20, 2013.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Burial will follow at Winston Memorial Cemetery in Haleyville.

Harold was born April 4, 1942, in Five Points. He graduated from Phil Campbell High School in 1959, and joined the Navy in June of that year.  He served until 1965 as a SFP2.  After his honorable discharge, he was employed at Reynolds Metals, where he was an iron worker.  Following retirement from Reynolds, he followed his dreams by founding both Smoke and Feathers and Harold’s Primitive Shop. He sold his business and retired “again” in 2007.

Harold married Judy Lynn Bailey on Dec. 1, 1960. They were married for 52 wonderful loving years.

Harold was a member of Phil Campbell First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Terri and husband Scott Howell, Jeff and wife Lisa Halcomb; grandchildren include Zach and Whittney Howell, Erica, Amanda, Jessie, and Shelby Halcomb. His siblings are Willodean King, Charles Halcomb and wife, Elsie, and Sue Cook.

He was preceded in death by parents, Willie and Lula Halcomb.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Heart Association.
