Chamber of Commerce to host quarterly breakfast

Members of the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce might not have time for breakfast everyday of the week, but at least once a quarter, members will be starting their day off right with a Chamber-sponsored breakfast and information session.
According to Franklin County Chamber of Commerce Director Cassie Medley, the quarterly breakfasts are a new event the Chamber will be hosting on a quarterly basis for those who are Chamber members.
The sessions will be from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. each time they are held and Medley said there would be a different informational program each time.
“Being a member of the Chamber of Commerce has many benefits, and we just wanted to add a little something extra for the members to enjoy,” Medley said.
“This will be a way for them to all gather together on a regular basis to share information and hopefully learn something interesting that will be beneficial to them or their business either now or in the future.
“And what better way to do all those things than to do them over breakfast.”
Medley said the first Chamber member breakfast would be an introductory meeting sponsored by Air Evac, which is offering a new benefit with their company for members of the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce.
The breakfast will take place Wednesday, April 17, from 7:30 a.m. – 9 a.m. at the Chamber office in downtown Russellville.
“Chris Willis with Air Evac will be at the breakfast to present information about the company and how Chamber members can receive their special discount,” she said. “This first breakfast will be a come and go event, so members can stop by when it’s convenient for them.”
Medley said the first regularly scheduled Chamber member breakfast would follow next month on Tuesday, May 7, from 7:30 a.m. – 9 a.m. at the Chamber office.
Medley said the regularly scheduled breakfasts would not be a come and go event but rather a full session to discuss different topics of importance, such as healthcare, which will be the topic in May.
“We hope this is something the members will enjoy,” she said. “We’ll be getting more information out about the breakfasts at a later date.”
Anyone who is interested in knowing more about the breakfasts or in becoming a Chamber member can visit the Chamber’s website at www.franklincountychamber.org or call 256-332-1760.
