Melanie Dawn George, 40, died Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Red Bay Hospital.

She was born Jan. 30, 1973, in Alabama. She was a cosmetologist for five years.

Services were Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Rick Murrell officiating. Burial was in Old Line Cemetery, Hodges.

Survivors are her husband, Donnie George, of Vina; two daughters, Morgan Davis and Madison Davis, both of Vina; one son, Brandon George and wife, Lindi, of Red Bay; her mother, Carolyn Haithcock, of Red Bay; her father, Jerry Haithcock, of Vina; one sister, Tina Stults and husband, Keith, of Hackleburg; one grandson, Andon Collum; two nephews, Corey Stults and wife, Amy, and Connor Stults; one great nephew, Kyle Stults; her grandmother, Agnes Raper, of Red Bay.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Arlie and Dicie Haithcock, and her grandfather, Oscar Raper.

Pallbearers were Chuck Bullock, Mark Bullock, Zack Hall, Taylor Hamilton, Connor Stults and Brandon George.
