Charles Leroy Baker, 70, Russellville, passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer on Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at Shoals Hospital.

Funeral services were Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, at Spry Memorial Chapel. Interment was in Franklin Memory Gardens.

He is survived by his brothers, William David Baker and wife, Faye, of Russellville, Frank W.  Baker and wife, Vicky, of Phil Campbell, Steve Melton Baker and wife, Janet, of Russellville, Loyd Edward Baker and wife, Frances, of Kingsville, Texas; sisters, Joanne Baker Waldon and husband, Luke, of Russellville, Dorothy Gooch and husband, Brannon, of Blairsville, Ga.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Baker; father, Louie Dennis “Bud” Baker; mother, Willie Mae Beasley Baker; sisters, Shirley Cothrum, Evelyn Rogers, all of Russellville; brother, Wallace Baker of Hattiesburg, Miss.; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Baker, of Phil Campbell, William Braxton Beasley, Hattie Mae Tidwell, of Bear Creek.
