Ruby L. Hester Mullins, 89, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, in Vina.

She was born Oct. 30, 1923, in Vina, and was a factory worker for 40 years. She was a member of Vina First Baptist Church.

Services were Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Steve Ledbetter and Bro. Sam Abbott officiating. Burial was in Old Burleson Cemetery, Vina.

Survivors are one son, James A. Mullins and wife, Denise, Hobart, Ind.; one brother, B.B. Hester Jr., Vina; two grandchildren, Jackie “Gabi” Correll and husband, James, and Chrissy Mullins (Michael Kmetz); two great-grandchildren, Andru Kmetz and Aidan Correll and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Mullins, her parents, Bryce Hester and Minnie Nelson Hester, one brother, Cecil Hester and four sisters, Syble Tharp, Charlene Moore, Virginia Throgmorton and Betty Jo Hester.
