Job fair set for Sept. 12

The 3rd Annual Northwest Alabama Job Fair will be held at Center Court in Regency Square Mall on Thursday, Sept. 12, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The two career fairs held in 2012 not only had hundreds of job applicants in attendance, but resulted in several jobs being filled.

There is still a great need for local employment, so as a service to the community, more than 20 of the best-known employers in the Northwest Alabama area will be on-site for this job fair including: Buffalo Rock, Marriott Shoals Hotel & Spa, Regions Bank, Aeropostale, American Eagle, Florence Police Department., G&G Steel, Helen Keller Hospital, Mid-South Carpenters Training Trust, Northwest-Shoals Community College, University of North Alabama, Shoals Hospital, and Walgreens.

Staff will also be available from local educational institutions providing information to assist with GED or higher educational opportunities.

If you are a blue collar or white collar worker in need of full-time, part-time or seasonal employment, bring a resume and come to Regency Square Mall on Wednesday, September 12. Don’t forget to dress for success!

For more information contact Rick Busbee at 256-766-4330, ext. 208, or Ron Collier at 256-766-4330, ext. 215.

The fair is hosted by Community Action Agency of Northwest Alabama, Shoals Chamber of Commerce and Verizon Wireless. Limited WiFi will be provided by Verizon Wireless and the fair is free to the public.
