Belgreen victorious over Vina in homecoming game

The Belgreen Bulldogs got their season off to a successful start on Friday by defeating the Vina Red Devils by a score of 79-35.

The Bulldogs picked up the homecoming victory in front of a big crowd while being led by Chase Landers who was the game’s top scorer with 30 points.

Belgreen did not allow Vina to score in double figures in the first, second and fourth quarters of the contest.

Ben Inman picked up 15 points for the Bulldogs followed by Dustin Smith’s 12 points in the game.

Ten different Belgreen players managed to score in the victory.

Vina’s most successful quarter was the third. Seth Brewer of the Red Devils picked up half of his team-high 12 points on steady inside play just after halftime.

The Red Devils also were helped by Hunter Haithcock’s seven points and Eli Hiser pitched in with six. Andrew Hester scored five points in the loss for Vina.
