Lady Tigers pick up 11-1 win

The Russellville Lady Tiger softball team traveled to Phil Campbell this past Thursday and brought home an 11-1 win.

Leading the Tigers offensively was Ally Willis who was 3 for 3 with an RBI.

Sydney Burcham had two hits along with Rachel Hunter who had two hits, one being a two-run homer in the fourth.

Kalli Beth Daniel added two hits with and RBI; Victoria Jackson had a hit and a two-run homer also in the fourth. Lexi Lamon had two hits driving in two runs.

Rachel Hunter pitched five innings striking out nine and only allowing two hits.

Madison Hardy and Courtney Baker got the two hits for Phil Campbell along with Krislyn Allen who scored the only run.

Russellville 5, Hatton 8

Russellville hosted Hatton on Monday, March 17 with Hatton taking home the 8-5 win over the Tigers.

The Tigers had an early 4-0 lead after the second, and continued to hand on to their then 5-1 lead after the fourth, but Hatton tied it up in the sixth and scored three runs in the seventh to take the win.

Leading the Tigers offensively were Rachel Hunter with two singles, Megan Brockway with a single and an RBI, and Lexi Lamon with two hits and a double to drive in three runs. Brooke Borden added a sacrificial fly to drive in the last run.
