Thanks to Community Spirit Bank

Dear Editor,

We would like to thank Community Spirit Bank for partnering with the EverFi – Financial Literacy Program and allowing Russellville High School to be part of that program. EverFi – Financial Literacy is a new-media learning platform that uses the latest technology – video, animations, 3-D gaming, avatars, and social networking – to bring complex financial concepts to life for today’s digital generation.

Through this program our students were able to learn about the following topics: Credit Scores, Insurance, Credit Cards and Interest, Taxes, Investing, Savings and Saving for College, 401Ks, and Mortgage information. Students were able to use technology to learn about the topics, take pre-tests and post-tests, and gain certification in Financial Literacy. Students in our Career Preparedness and Business Technology Application courses took advantage of this opportunity and 198 students have gained Financial Literacy Certification Certificates this school year. We will continue to take advantage of this program with our students next year.

Thank you very much for your continued support of the Russellville High School Career and Technical Department and our educational endeavors. Again, thank you for helping us ensure our students participation in this interesting and beneficial opportunity.

Thank you,

RHS Business Instructors
