Dennis Hansel Lewey, 47, of Russellville, passed away Friday, June 6, 2014, at his residence.

Mr. Lewey was a native of Franklin County and a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Russellville.  He was employed by Doors and More and was an avid Alabama fan and deer hunter.

The funeral service was Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with burial in Franklin Memory Gardens. Officiating was Cayce Harrison. The family received friends at the funeral home on Sunday.

He is survived by his parents, Villious and Sheila Lewey, Russellville; brothers, Doug Lewey and wife, Wendy, and Darrin Lewey, all of Russellville; nephews, Josh Lewey and wife, Ashton, Trenton, Ga., Hunter Lewey, Chris Smith, both of Russellville; nieces, Paige Lewey, Red Bay, Rylin Lewey and Katie Vandiver, both of Russellville; dogs, Little Bit and Fern.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Taylor, Ronnie Boutwell, Keith Green, Jeff Fretwell, Wayne Sears and Ronald Fretwell.

Honorary bearer was Tracy Hovater.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, George and Annie Lewey and Hansel and Evie Boyles.
