The Alabama Department of Public Health has confirmed they are investigating a possible foodborne outbreak in Russellville.

According to officials, the ADPH was made aware of the situation on Wednesday.

Assistant State Health Officer Dr. Karen Landers stated that three people have positive salmonella cultures and nine additional cases are being investigated.

ADPH officials said the department is gathering information to identify possible common sources.
