Reward offered in burglary case

THARPTOWN – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is looking for information about a burglary that occurred recently in the Tharptown community.

According to Franklin County Sheriff Shannon Oliver, the burglary occurred in the early morning hours on Sunday, June 1.

Oliver said the burglary took place at AAA Motors on Franklin 80.

Reports indicate the items taken include a 16-gauge shotgun, two rifles, impact tools and drive, an air hammer, a welding helmet, drills, multiple snap-on tools including wrenches, sockets and an air grinder, and a 30-lb. container of refrigerant.

A $2,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the recovery of items and/or an arrest in this case.
