Charles Ronald Whitman, 58 Phil Campbell, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Russellville Hospital.

He was a loving husband and a wonderful father.

The visitation was Monday, June 23, 2014 at New Beginnings Church in Haleyville.  The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at New Beginnings Church in Haleyville.  Officiating will be Pastor Paul McMicken.  Burial will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery, Phil Campbell.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sharon Ann McMicken Whitman; children, Shea Whitman Case, Russellville, Lee Whitman and wife, Kristin, Hamilton; grandchildren, Amber Case, Bailey Whitman, Taylor Whitman, Malique Nalls, Trey Nalls, Kane Whitman, Frankie Whitman, Isaiah Whitman, Ava Whitman; great-grandchild, Carson Hyde; siblings, Arthur Junior Whitman, Glenda Faye Vickery, Betty Boatwright, Charlotte Pruitt, Kathy Jones; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by father, James Arthur Whitman, Sr.; mother, Bartilee Galloway Whitman; brother, Thomas Whitman; and sister, Imagene Lovett.
