Una Mae Armstrong, 87, died Friday, June 20, 2014 at her residence. She was a lifetime native of Franklin County, a devoted homemaker and a long-time member of New Union Missionary Baptist Church.

Services were Sunday, June 22, at New Union Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Jim Jones officiating. Burial was in Halltown Cemetery, Vina.

Survivors are two sons, Dennis Armstrong and wife, Neva, Vina, and Randall Armstrong and wife, Christa, Littleville; one daughter, Leisa Johnson and husband, Belton, Vina; two sisters, Nettie Armstrong, Pride Landing, Al. and Hettie Lee Pendegraph, Fulton, Miss.; one brother, James Strickland, Vina; seven grandchildren, Gary Armstrong, Bonita Armstrong, Benton Armstrong, LaShay Blansett and husband, Dickey, Bart Johnson and wife, Amanda, Michelle Rushing and husband, Kelly and Nick Patterson and wife, Heather; and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Clinton Armstrong; her parents, Bose and Molcie Strickland; brothers, Walson, Clint, Morris, Harvey and Orvil Strickland and sisters, Pearl Morrow and Norvil Lindley.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Gary Armstrong, Benton Armstrong, Bart Johnson, Dickey Blansett, Nick Patterson and Dakota Rushing. Honorary pallbearers were Mattox Armstrong and Kaiden Blansett.

Visitation was Saturday, June 21, at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
