Golden Tigers representing volleyball, junior varsity cheerleading, varsity cheerleading, junior varsity football and varsity football converged at the Russellville Middle School Gym at 6:30 for the “Meet the Tigers” event.

Russellville athletic director and head football coach Mark Heaton began the event with a rousing welcome and opening prayer.

Coach Charlotte Dollar presented the varsity volleyball team.

The JV cheerleaders were next on the program, performing their home pom routine after being introduced by coach Beth Gilmer.
Varsity cheer coach Stephanie Mayfield then introduced the varsity cheerleaders to the crowd and the squad entertained the crowd with cheers, building stunts and their award-winning Extreme Routine Dance from cheer camp.

Champ, the Golden Tiger Mascot, also entertained the fans at the event.
The culmination of the event was the introduction of the 2014 Russellville Golden Tiger football team by Coach Heaton. Heaton also spoke to the crowd encouraging everyone to come out and support the Golden Tigers this season.
