Charlene Kent “Meemaw”

Charlene Kent “Meemaw” Pharr, formerly of Golden, Miss., went to be with the Lord on Nov. 2, 2014. She had a heart full of love for her family and her greatest happiness was for all to be gathered at the family home, enjoying a meal of her home-grown vegetables and good fellowship among her flower gardens.

Services were Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Tommy White officiating. Burial was in ButlerCemetery, Golden, Miss.

Survivors are her children, who were her pride and joy, Gary Pharr and wife, Blythe, Barbara Hathcock, Donna McAlister, Brenda Richerzhagen and David Pharr; grandchildren, Rodney Green, Kimberly York and husband, Nick, Timothy Harris and wife, Melissa, Ashley Wyatt and David Daniel; great-grandchildren, Austin and Alex Green, Crystal Moore, Connor York, Clayton and Griffin Harris, Hunter and Hayden Wyatt and Austin Daniel; two brothers, Charles Kent and wife, Barbara, and Herman Kent and wife, Berdie, and many special extended family members, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Basil Pharr; her parents, Charlie and Ollie Kent; a brother, Lorn Kent; a sister, Vara Holland and husband, I.C.; and three sons-in-law, George Hathcock, Paul McAlister and Mike Richerzhagen.

The family requests any memorial contributions be given to Childhood Cancer Research.

Pallbearers were Timothy Harris, Rodney Green, Clayton Harris, Griffin Harris, Austin Green, David Daniel, Charles Gause and Ricky Holland.

Visitation was Saturday, Nov. 8, at Deaton Funeral Home, RedBay.
