Welton Loyd Welborn, 83, of Phil Campbell, passed away Monday, Dec.  22, 2014, at Helen Keller Hospital.

Mr. Welborn lived most of his life in FranklinCounty and was a member of LibertyHillBaptistChurch. He was a self-employed bookkeeper and tax consultant.

The funeral service will be Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., at LibertyHillBaptistChurch, Phil Campbell, with burial in adjoining cemetery. Officiating will be Bobby Poss and Joe Holmes. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 12:00 noon until service time.

Survivors include wife, Margaret Swinney Welborn; children, Judith Welborn, David Welborn and wife, Kathy, Carl Welborn and wife, Pam, and Larry Welborn and wife, Kathleen; brother, Eugene Welborn; grandchildren, Denise Birdyshaw and husband, Joseph, Chase Welborn and wife, Katie, Angela Kratz and husband, B.J., Karen McGee and husband, Randy, Matthew Welborn and wife, Amanda, Bailey Welborn; Claire Welborn; great-grandchildren, Savanna Birdyshaw, Colton Welborn, McKenzie Kratz, Dylan McGee; Rylee Kate Welborn; a host of loving and supportive brothers-and sisters-in law; nephews and nieces; friends and business associates.

He was preceded in death by parents, Sanford and Icie Pounders Welborn; and daughter, Linda Marie Welborn.

Pallbearers will be nephews; and honorary pallbearers will be grandsons.
