Vicki Hazel Woods, 81, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015 at Shoals Hospital. She was born in Mississippi and had worked as a hotel secretary. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of North Highland Baptist Church, Littleville.

Services were Tuesday, Feb. 24, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Bradley Long officiating. Burial was in Ridge Cemetery, Golden, Miss.

Survivors are her husband, Otis “Woody” Woods, Tuscumbia; two brothers, Raymond Long, Mobile, and Travis Long and wife, Barb, Sheffield; one sister, Diane Marmorstein and wife, Barry, Seattle, Wash.; four children, Ann Marston and husband, Frank, Brenda Smith and husband, Ottie, and Vickie McGee and husband, Phil, all of Killen, and Ross Shadix, Louisville, Kent.; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers and sister-in-law, Bill Woods, George Woods and Nita Cole.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arvil and Rosetta Burton Long, a brother, John Long Sr., husband, Samuel Shadix, and a daughter, Brenda Doyle.

Pallbearers were George Woods, John Corum, Louis Knerr, Brandon Martin, John Long Jr. and Jeffrey Long.

Visitation was Tuesday, Feb. 24, at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
