UNDEFEATED SEASON : Tigers head into playoffs with perfect record

The Red Bay Tigers wrapped up their first undefeated season since 2007 with a dominating 52-16 win over Marion County. Tate Ozbirn racked up 129 yards rushing and three touchdowns in the win.
Red Bay was able to convert four Marion County turnovers into touchdowns. The Tigers were also able to dominate the line of scrimmage, holding Marion County to just 27 yards rushing and 166 total yards.
Ozbirn scored the first of his three first half touchdowns on a 34-yard run with 3:37 to go in the first quarter to make the score 7-0.
After a Marion County turnover, Troy Borden hooked up with Nick Thorn for a 13-yard touchdown pass to make the score 13-0 at the end of the first quarter.
Ozbirn scored two straight touchdowns to open the second quarter on runs of 29 and 40 yards to increase Red Bay lead to 27-0
The Tigers closed out their first half scoring on 20-yard pass from Borden to Reed Holt to make the score 33-0.
After a long drive in the third quarter, Borden scored from one-yard out to extend the Tigers lead to 39-0.
The Tigers would score two more times in the game. Payton Thorn picked off a Marion County pass and returned it 45 yards for a touchdown. Reed Holt returned a Marion County kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown to wrap up the Tigers scoring.
The Tigers piled up 331 total yards on the game with 239 on the ground and 92 through the air. Borden completed six of nine passes in the game.
Red Bay will host Addison in the opening round of the Class 2A state playoffs.
