FBLA makes spirits bright with toy donation

By Macy Reeves for the FCT

FBLA collected $340 in donations and a bag full of toys, all donated by the student body.

“It helps the community, and the community comes together. It also helps us teach our students how to give back. It’s a service that our organization does to give back to the community and the children in our community,” said club sponsor Susie Malone.

The Rev. Jim Poss, minister of the Branches Church, spoke at the event about Christmas holiday projects in the community. Poss also collected all donations, which went to Branches Church this year.

“These students that donated today, they’ll really never know the impact that they have on the people who actually receive these things. It’s truly heart-warming to see that RHS doesn’t just care about themselves,” said McCormick.
