Mattie Raye Pace Bolton

Mattie Raye Pace Bolton, age 72, Spruce Pine, passed away on Dec. 10, 2015, at her residence, surrounded by her family.

Mattie worked for many years side-by-side with her husband at Bolton Furniture and enjoyed reading. She was a member of Quinn Memorial Church of Christ. She was loved by everyone who knew her and will be missed by all.

The visitation was 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral service was at 2 p.m. Dec. 13 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Arvie Dupey and Bro. Lonnie Oldag officiating. Burial was at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 53 years, Bobby Ray Bolton; daughter, Jennifer Bolton Bittinger (husband, Richard Jr.); sisters, Doris Ann Andrews and Addie Faye Glasgow; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

She is preceded in death by parents, Louie and Mattie Pace; sister and brother-in-law, Velma and William Sillett; brother-in-law, Kenneth Andrews; and nephew, Mark Andrews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks the staff of Alacare Hospice and a special neighbor, Sherry White, for the love and care of their family.
