Edward L. Harrison

Edward L. Harrison, 86, died Dec. 29, 2015, at his residence. He was born in Golden, Miss., to Wallace Harrison and Ressie Thrasher Harrison. He was a farm equipment mechanic and worked for John Deere for thirty years. He was a member of Palestine Church of God.

Services were Jan. 2 at 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Greg Pace officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Golden, Miss.

Survivors are: his wife of 58 years, Jackie Harrison, Red Bay; three daughters – Janice Beal, Red Bay, Judy Barrett, Florence, and Jennifer Puckett and husband Eddie, Vina; five grandchildren – Bob Beal and wife Mistie, Jamie Beal, Kevin Barrett, Jayla Puckett and Jordan Puckett; eight great-grandchildren; one brother – Mutt Harrison and wife Lois; five sisters – Lorene Ginn, Joyce Puttnam, Paulene McClain, Nell Eskew and Ann Fisher and husband Guy; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert Harrison and Joe Harrison.

Pallbearers were Tim Harrison, Ronnie Harrison, Glen Elrod, Thomas Epps, Steve Bates and Dale Ray.

Visitation was Jan. 2, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
