Margaret Hooker

Margaret Hooker, 91, passed away Dec. 31, 2015.

Margaret was born in Franklin County Oct. 6, 1924. She lived out her life in Franklin County. Margaret retired from the retail business in 2007.

The funeral service was Sunday, Jan. 3, at 2 p.m. The family received friends from noon until service time. Officiating were David Kelley and Billy Hooker. Burial was at Cherry Hill Cemetery.

Margaret is survived by her five children, Virginia Edwards, Kathy James and husband Jerry, John Hooker Jr. and wife Emily, Billy Hooker and wife Paula and Roger Hooker. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Frank Howard Bowen and Rebecca Naomi Bowen; her husband, John Edwin Hooker; son, Edwin Lee Hooker; siblings, Frank Bowen, Mary Sue Coker and Kate Province; and son-in-law, Donald Edwards.

Pallbearers were Mike Edwards, Patrick James, Jonathan Hooker, Preston Hooker, John Coker and James Coker.
