Milton Stanley Allison

Milton Stanley Allison, 64, passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 2016 at Russellville Hospital.

Stanley was a native of Talladega, but has lived for the past 20 years in Franklin County Alabama. He was a retired publisher for the Franklin County Times.

Funeral Services were held Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016 at at First Baptist Church, Russellville. The family received friends until service time. Patrick Martin, Richard Parker, and Bobby Hopper officiated. Burial was Monday, Feb. 8, 2016 at Midway Cemetery in Talladega.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Betty Johnson Allison; children, Sam Watts and wife, Cheryl, Vic Watts; sister Linda Phipps and husband, Billy; grandchildren, Mason Watts, Kaitlyn Watts, Mattie Watts, Brodie Watts, Peyton Watts, Shelby Lynn Watts; special grand-friends, Rachel Balding, Austin Balding, Daniel Balding, Kaitlyn Balding; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers included, David Balding, Jason R. Hill, James ‘Gene’ Balding, Ken Farr, Jonathan Willis, Calvin Parmer, Arron Nichols, and Tim Cook.

Honorary bearers were Austin Balding, Noah Daugherty, Daniel Balding and Zach Oneal.

Stanley was preceded in death by parents, Milton Arnold and Lassie Allison.
