EMA hosts storm-spotter class

The Franklin County Emergency Management Agency will be hosting a SKYWARN storm-spotter class March 22 at 6:30 p.m., and anyone who wants to know more about recognizing and identifying storms is invited to attend.

The free class will be taught by the National Weather Service of Huntsville at the A.W. Todd Center, 201 Washington Ave. SW, Russellville. It is open to the public and all local rescue squads, fire departments, police departments, ambulance services and sheriff department personal.

“If you want to get a little knowledge about weather, storm clouds and rotation – it gives you a good idea of what to look for,” said EMA Director Jody Hitt.

For more information, call the Franklin County Emergency Agency at 256-332-8890.
