Russellville’s girls golf team played against Muscle Shoals and Deshler at Cypress Golf Course March 21. Muscles Shoals had a team score of 136, and Deshler was hard competition as well. Russellville went strong with the team score of 157, for a loss.

It was a bad day for the Russellville girls’ golf team; however, the team did have some leaders in the game. Bailey Tubb and Morgan Moon both shot a 52, and Josie Willis was right behind them with a 53.

The girls also played March 22, against Deshler and Colbert Heights at Twin Pines. Both Deshler and Colbert Heights brought two girls each. The Russellville girls’ golf team showed more skill during this match, with the team score of 131. Leading the team was Tubb with a 43 and Ashton Moore and Willis both with a 44. Deshler’s girls shot a 45 and a 62, placing them a few points behind Russellville. Colbert Heights girls shot a 59 and a 58, also falling a few shots behind the Russellville girls’ golf team.

The RHS boys’ golf team played last week in the Burning Tree tournament. The boys represented Russellville well, placing fourth out of 21 teams. Their final team score was 331; leading the team in scores was Eli Hodges with a score of 80; Eric B with the score of 81; and Joshua Seal with the score of 83.
