Gladys Pearl Thomas Borden

Gladys Pearl Thomas Borden, age 89, Russellville, passed away April 1.

The visitation was from noon to 2 p.m. April 3 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Officiating the service was Bro. Mark Fell, Donnie Borden and Bro. James Wallace. Burial was at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Donnie Borden and wife Wanda, David Borden and wife Charlotte, Wanda Gail Burcham, Brenda Brittingham and husband Andrew and Tommy Borden; 13 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Illar Spires and Annie Winnett; brother-in-law, Joe Borden; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Hollis Lee Borden; son, Danny Joe Borden; parents, Charlie and Lola Bell Thomas; brothers, Oneal Thomas, Harlis Thomas, Hershel Thomas and Kenneth Gene Thomas; and sisters, Mary Louise Thomas and Amy McKinney.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice for the love and care of the family.
