Hastings, Norris face run-off

For Franklin County Commission District 4, Democratic voters still have a choice to make about who will face off with Republican candidate William David Hester in November, and the time to make that choice will be Tuesday.

Tuesday will be the day for a run-off election between incumbent Don Hastings and former commissioner Norris Lewey, who were separated by less than 2 percent of the vote in the March 1 primary.

Hastings, a retired brick mason is a Franklin County Cattlemen director and an RC&D Council director. He is also a trustee at Freewill Baptist Church in Red Bay.

Lewey, who has worked in customer relations at Tiffin Motorhomes for 41 years and is retured from the Alabama Army National Guard, is a member of the Franklin County Cattlemen’s Association and Cedar Creek Baptist Church.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
