The Tharptown Lady Wildcats jumped out to an early lead on Phil Campbell and captured an 11-0 victory Wednesday.

Eight runs in the first three innings allowed the Wildcats to put the game away early.

A two-run single by Kaitlyn Vandiver during the first inning and a two-run double by Klaudia Harris in the second inning helped Tharptown put some runs on the board early. Harris racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Wildcats.

Tharptown piled on four more runs in the bottom of the third. A ground out scored Haley Malone for the inning’s first run. That was followed up by Darla Smith’s single, plating Ameliah Dawson.

Tharptown tacked on another three runs in the fourth. The Wildcats kicked things off with a single, bringing home Malone and Vandiver. That was followed up by Kaylee Bain’s single, bringing home Jaelyn Johnson.
