The Board of Directors of CB&S Bank recently announced that after successfully leading CB&S Bank for more than 50 years, Cecil Batchelor will be resigning his post as board chairman effective immediately and will serve a new role within the Board as director and chairman emeritus.

Greg Batchelor has been appointed new board chairman after serving more than 25 years on the Board of Directors. Additionally, Rebecca Reeves will now serve as vice-chairman and chairman-elect.

A successful businessman, dedicated community leader and devoted family man, Cecil Batchelor has served on the CB&S Bank Board for more than 52 years, 46 of those as board chairman. Under his leadership, CB&S Bank has grown from approximately $5 million to $1.5 billion in total assets and has expanded to 55 branches in three states. The bank has evolved from one of the smallest banks in Alabama to one of the largest. Cecil Batchelor has left a mark of service and vision at CB&S Bank that will be a big part of the organization for years to come.

Greg Batchelor has served on the CB&S Bank Board of Directors more than 25 years, several as vice-chairman and chairman-elect. A local business owner and community leader, he has distinguished himself as an exemplary and capable choice for this position. Following in the steps of his father, Greg Batchelor looks to the future with optimism and anticipation.

Rebecca Reeves, retired educator and talented businesswoman, has served on the CB&S Bank Board of Directors since 2000. Her insight and expertise has been a great asset to CB&S Bank over the years, and she will further serve the bank through her new role as vice-chairman and chairman-elect.
