William Phillip “Joe” Black

William Phillip “Joe” Black, age 63, Russellville, passed away on July 06 at Helen Keller Hospital.

Joe loved hot wheel cars and watching NASCAR.  He loved his family, and more than anything, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

The visitation will be 6-8 p.m. July 07 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on July 08 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with Bro. Ricky Gardner officiating. Burial will be at Belgreen Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Bolton Black; son, Jeramy Black and wife, Shelbye; daughter, Angie Bogus and husband, Jason; grandchildren, Cheyenne Jones, Peyton Black, Mason Black, Chris Bogus, Jonathan Bogus, Josh Bogus, Alyssa Taylor; great-grandchildren, Ella Bogus, Thomas Bogus; brothers, Wayne Black, Danny Black; and several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William & Elsie Black; and brother, David Black.

The pallbearers will be Bradley Taylor, Chris Bogus, Jonathan Bogus, Chris Black, Jacob Black, Cody Black, Noah Daugherty, and Ben Black. The honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Black, Danny Black, and Josh Bogus.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Gena Pinkard and Keller Hospice, as well as the 3rd and 4th floor nurses and staff of Helen Keller Hospital for your love and care shown to the family during this time.
